Good morning, Albion District Library is searching for a motivated and passionate individual to become our new Local History Room Archivist. This position is responsible for the library's Local History Room and Archives, local history material collection and development, genealogical and reference services, and promoting the library's local history services and collections within the community. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position scheduled for approximately 25-32 hours weekly. Summer Library Programming CSLP Survey for 2027 Slogan/2028 Theme Have you ever thought about where summer library themes and slogans come from? Who thinks them up? How we select each year's slogan? Well, the answer is YOU! Each year the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) seeks feedback from Michigan library staff for future summer slogan and theme suggestions. Libraries from across the nation also contribute, and together, we come to consensus. Now is your time to be heard! Audiobook Cases up for grabs

Hi All, We've got a whole bunch of empty audiobook cases that we're planning to get rid of, and we were wondering if anyone wanted some before we toss them out. Photos attached. We've got a little over 100 of them, with a varying number of internal sleeves for discs, and the sleeves aren't modular. The cases have a clear plastic sleeve that wraps all the way around to put cover art, etc inside. Also, they've still got our call number stickers on them. If you'd like some please let us know approximately how many cases you'd like, if you have any preferences on number of sleeves, and your MeLCat location code so we can send them your way! The Eclipse is Coming...

We are 72 days from a total eclipse! (in totality approx. 3:13pm ET<https://eclipse2024.org/eclipse_cities/states.php?type=total&state=Michigan…> for parts of Michigan, while the rest of us range around 96% totality) Nearly 6 million solar eclipse glasses have been distributed to libraries across the nation, thanks to funding from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the Space Science Institute, through its Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries (SEAL) program<https://www.starnetlibraries.org/about/our-projects/solar-eclipse-activitie…>. (Requests for solar eclipse glasses have now closed.)
