Application Process The EGrAMS Online Application System is available at https://egrams-mi.com/LEO Begin by creating a “user profile” affiliated with LEO. Once your profile is complete, find the Community Center Grant Application. Grant Award Opportunities – Up to $2,500,000 Organizations can apply for a Capital Project Grant, a Program grant, or they can apply for both a Capital Project Grant and a Program Grant. The total request in all circumstances cannot exceed $2,500,000. 1. Capital Project Grants Projects could include but are not limited to: new construction, remodeling existing structures, purchasing land, purchasing equipment, purchasing and installing energy efficient heating and/or cooling equipment, installing renewable energy systems, weatherizing facility, replacing roof and windows, installing/updating recreation fields. 1. Program Grants Project examples could include but are not limited to mentoring, STEM education, environmental justice activities, renewable energy information, disaster preparedness, outdoor education, before or after-school education, volunteer programs, youth volunteer efforts, career or workforce training, programming for women, recreational or athletic activities, senior activities, veteran support activities, food access, and wraparound services (health services, behavioral services, licensed childcare). Eligible Applicants Eligible Applicants – Entities that provide Community Center activities could include, Municipalities. Local government agencies, Consortium of local governments, Nonprofits, Faith-based organizations (providing nonreligious services to public), Schools, Colleges, or Universities. Noneligible Applicants: for-profit entities, hospitals, trade associations, credit unions, insurance trusts, fraternal order. Eligibility Requirements A Community Center, for the purpose of this project, is defined as a building or other place in which people may gather to receive support services and to participate in social, educational, recreational, and cultural activities. Centers are typically free and open to the community in which they are located or serve. Community Center grants will provide financial assistance to strengthen Michigan communities by enhancing services that provide education support, workforce training, health services, recreation activities, older adult programming, meeting space, and other community needs. Preference will be given to communities that are below the average median income, according to the most recent federal decennial census and to Centers serving the ALICE population. Eligible Eligible costs: acquisition of property, planning and design costs – including architectural plans, construction and materials costs, renovation costs, infrastructure to equip facilities as needed, programming, and development. Hi all, This is just a reminder that grant applications for our *new* Robert Gaylor IDEA aware are due August 14th! Below is the original message, as a refresher. :) The Book and Author Society (www.bookandauthor.org) is very excited to announce that, after a several-year hiatus due to a global plague, our author luncheons will be returning this fall! Please mark your calendars for October 11, from 11:30-2pm at Laurel Manor Banquet & Conference Center in Livonia--details on featured authors and ticket sales will be forthcoming later this summer. During the luncheon we will be presenting a brand new grant, created in honor of our former president and one of our founding members, Robert Gaylor . The Robert Gaylor IDEA award complements the spirit of the Gaylor Collection at Oakland University <https://library.oakland.edu/collections/special/gaylor.html>, which contains “many titles of historical significance related to GLBT lives” from the mid-20th century to the present, and represents a lifetime of careful stewardship of the records of these communities. Video Game Vendors

We are currently using Amazon, but I'm wondering what vendors may be out there. Hi everyone, We recently had Susie Finkbeiner in for a talk about here most recent book The All-American and it was great. Susie's written 9 books so she knows how to put on a good program. She explained about her inspiration, research and just some really funny stories on the whole process. Lots of question at the end, always a good sign, and everyone commented on how much they had enjoyed it as they left. The bonus is she's from Michigan. Submitted by Jasmine Rockwell, CSLP Vendor Chair Coming this fall to the CSLP Store, softer t-shirts! More shirt color choices! There will still be three different pieces of art on t-shirts, but each shirt design will have at least two color choices per cut. For example, the t-shirt with a piece of 2024 art with the "Adventure Begins at Your Library" slogan will be available in two colors in the unisex cut and two colors in the ladies cut. As usual, one t-shirt design will also be available in two colors in youth sizes, and there will be a "Love My Library" t-shirt again. The same size ranges will continue to be offered - through 5XL in unisex and 3XL in the ladies cut. Also, for the first time ever: CSLP is offering a sweatshirt! To help you promote your library in the cooler parts of the year and for your fall/winter programming, the shirt will feature CSLP 2024 copyrighted artwork but will have the "Love My Library" slogan.
