After you submit your panel proposal, a member of the GNCRT Libcomix Online Committee will reach out to you to confirm receipt of your submission. CDC releases updated masking guidance

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.h… https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/about-face-c… New guidance recommends masking for: * Ages 2 and up in areas of high transmission * People who are sick or taking care of others who are sick * People with chronic illness and weakened immune systems should consult their healthcare provider on what protective actions, if any, they should take. People should be knowledgeable about the transmission level and infection rate within their community and be prepared to wear masks if the transmission rate increases. The determination of masking is based on the community transmission, which is a combination of three metrics https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/science/community-levels.html : * New Covid Hospital admissions in the past 7 days * The percent of hospital beds occupied by Covid patients * Total new Covid cases per 100,000 population in the past 7 days People are still encouraged to make the masking decision that is right for them, their circumstances and their comfort level. Assistant Director hourly wage in a Class 3 library

Hello Librarians Our Assistant Director seems terribly underpaid, and our Board is looking for current information on what other Class 3 libraries are paying per hour. If you represent a Class 3 library with an Assistant Director position (whether filled or vacant), what hourly wage is associated with that position? We very much appreciate the help. Library of Michigan data from 2016 includes minimum and maximum salary information for Class 3 libraries as well as average hours per week. From this, I calculated some parameters ... Have things changed much? Min Max Low $7.69* $7.88* High $30.67 $39.43 Mean $14.41 $22.81 Median $13.60 $22.20 * Was this minimum wage at the time? Significantly lower than the current $9.87. Averaging Min and Max for each case, I found a mid-point of about $17 or $18 per hour, which seems right to me.
