State Librarian's Excellence Award deadline extended

On behalf of Randy Riley, State Librarian Dear Library Directors, Trustees, Institution Administrators, and Library Users, The Library of Michigan Foundation is pleased to announce that the nomination deadline for the 2018 State Librarian's Excellence Award is being extended to Friday, August 24, 2018. The State Librarian's Excellence Award recognizes a Michigan Library that best exemplifies excellence in customer service. A $3,000 cash prize will be awarded to the winning library and $1,000 each will be awarded to the two Citation of Excellence runners-up. All three award-winners will receive trophies for public display. We hope you will consider nominating your library this year! Winners will be celebrated at the State Librarian's Luncheon on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, during the 2018 Michigan Library Association Annual Conference in Novi. At Lapeer District Library we charge $1.00 for the service + .25 per page. We provide a cover letter if patron would like, but count that as a page when sending. We do not prepare items that are being sent, we simply send what the patron has prepared.
