The Wayne State School of Information Sciences requests nominations for its 2018 Professional Service Award. THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AWARD acknowledges Wayne State alumni and other individuals who have made significant and sustained contributions to the Michigan library/information community during their careers and have supported the School of Information Sciences. The Professional Service Award recognizes individuals who, for example, have been leaders in state, regional, and/or national professional associations, and/or have held leadership roles in activities related to their positions. Recipients of SIS awards are selected by a School committee made up of faculty, staff, and students. The awards are announced at the Annual Recognition Ceremony. This year's ceremony will be held in Detroit on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Happy Monday! Youth Services Coordinator The Manistee County Library is seeking a creative, friendly, and highly energetic individual to be our new Youth Services Coordinator. The chosen candidate will create amazing experiences for our youth incorporating STEAM and provide exceptional service to all patrons. Under the direction of the Executive Director of Library Services, plans, promotes, and implements programs for children and young adults. This position requires some evening and weekend hours. Full-time (37 ½ hours) with excellent benefits. Education: Bachelors Degree in Library Science, Early Childhood, Elementary Education or other child services required. Experience: Three years of experience in a public library.
