Because my request for eclipse glasses worked so well (thank you to everyone who responded and helped us) I'm going to take a long shot here. Our sci-fi librarian is, naturally, a big fan of Andy Weir (The Martian). However, none of us were able to see him at ALA on Monday to get for her a copy of the ARC for his new book, Artemis. Does anyone have a spare they are willing to donate to the cause? We would be very grateful and happy to trade for future ARCs if you have favorites you're seeking. Thank you all in advance! Rudy C. book vendor research

Hello all, Our library is looking into the quality of different book vendors. We are currently using Ingram (for fully processed books), but we are curious if any of you use different vendors and what you think of them. It seems like Ingram orders take a considerable amount of time between order placement (online) and the receipt of the fully processed books at our library. Does anyone use a vendor other than Ingram? If so, do you happen to know the approximate amount of time it takes for an order to be placed, processed, and received at your library? Walk-off Carpet Tiles

Hello out there in library land! We are researching carpet for our lobby and are considering walk-off carpet tiles. We have problems in the winter, though, with salt coming off everyone's shoes and are concerned that it would just build up in the nap. Have any of you had experience with them, good or bad?
