CEO/Executive Director-Bibliomation, Inc. Bibliomation, Inc.'s Board of Directors seeks an Executive Director to lead this dynamic, successful organization as it moves forward to realize its vision for member libraries and staff. The next Executive Director will provide leadership, management and growth of the organization-creating a framework for expanding Bibliomation's services into new markets, undertake strategic planning and budget development, and work with current members (and potential new members) to increase statewide resource sharing. The Executive Director serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Bibliomation and, under the general direction of the Board of Directors, has overall responsibility for general administration of operations. Bibliomation has a proud history and a strong future helping member libraries and schools provide quality library service to their users by providing state-of-the-art IT services effectively and efficiently. Headquartered in Waterbury, CT, Bibliomation <http://biblio.org/> is governed by a 12-member Board of Directors. With a $1.9 million budget (funded primarily through member assessments) and 16 staff, the organization provides an array of services to 60+ public libraries and 20 K-12 schools. Services include Evergreen, an open source integrated library system; cooperative purchasing of databases; shared e-book and audio book collections; LAN/WAN network architecture and telecommunications support; local PC hardware and software installation; and help desk support. The Board of Directors is seeking an Executive Director who is comfortable with fundraising, exploring entrepreneurial funding avenues and working with members and communities through development, outreach and marketing. Advanced Archives Workshop: Step by Step Processing Your Boxes of "Stuff" Friday, September 20 Presenter: Kristen Chinery, Walter P. Reuther Library As part of its 2013 History Skills Workshop Series, the Historical Society of Michigan presents "Advanced Archives: Step by Step Processing Your Boxes of "Stuff"," with Walter P. Reuther Library Archivist Kristen Chinery. Historical organizations often receive donations, boxes of photographs, ephemera, and an array of paper materials that may, or may not, relate to a common source. Participants of this workshop are asked to bring in sample donations of "stuff" so that the speaker can offer a step-by-step approach to re-housing and arranging these collections for the benefit of the whole group. The workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the HSM Office at 5815 Executive Dr., Lansing, Michigan. Registration is $39 for members of-or those representing a member organization of-the Historical Society of Michigan. For non-members, registration is $79 and includes a one-year HSM membership. Affordable Care Act Resources Available on LM websites

The Library of Michigan has posted a list of Affordable Care Act resources on its website to help libraries that may be preparing to assist patrons in finding websites and resources to inform them of healthcare reform. At this time the resources are provided in a PDF document and I will be working to place these on the website as regular links on our new Library Initiatives - Affordable Care Act page.
