The Michigan High-Speed Internet Office has stops in Pontiac, Warren, and Detroit scheduled for January with more dates and locations coming out soon in Dundee and Jackson. If you are in one of the currently scheduled areas and want to make sure your voice is heard as a stakeholder in Michigan's broadband future take a look at the information below. Over the next several weeks the MIHI office will be scheduling more dates and locations across the state. Stay tuned for more details for a location near you. Michigan is poised to receive more than $1.75 billion from the federal government to expand high-speed internet service and achieve digital equity. Every region and every community in our state has unique needs when it comes to getting everyone connected. We need input from them all - and that means, we want to hear from you. Your feedback and all information gathered during the MI Connected Future tour will have a direct impact on how Michigan designs our plans to invest these once-in-a-generation federal resources. MIHI is launching the MI Connected Future tour in Detroit on Jan. 11. While our tour will start in southeast Michigan, we plan to hold meetings from shore to shore and border to border to ensure everyone can participate. CMU Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Title IX

2022 is the 50th anniversary of Title IX, the landmark legislation that prohibits sex-based discrimination in education and Central Michigan University has done quite a bit in commemoration. -The Clarke Historical Library put together a web-exhibit exploring Title IX's impacts at CMU<https://clarke.omeka.net/exhibits/show/titleix/title-ix-at-cmu> and beyond. Learn more about the days of different curriculum and social rules for women and men, the pioneers and leaders of CMU athletics, and the efforts of students, staff, and faculty to raise awareness about and stamp out sexual violence. -CMU honored six women's athletics legends as the 2022 Homecoming Grand Marshals<https://ls2.cmich.edu:444/trk/click?ref=zsk0p4lvb_2-11fe2x3ed50x0%110%11PUB…>: Mary Bottaro, Christy Freese, Sue Guevara, Margo Jonker, Fran Koenig, and Marcy Weston.
