Hotspot Lending Policies & Penalties

Hi Libraryland, I'm looking for examples of hotspot lending policies, specifically penalties for not returning the devices. We have a few libraries having issues with their hotspots not being returned. I would love to hear how you ensure your devices get returned after their lending period expires. Anyone Poets Out there?!

Are you a budding poet? Know someone who is? Know any students who are? Please spread the word that the Call for Poetry is out for our 26th year of Poet's Night Out! Any resident or student in Alcona, Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee, Montmorency, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, or Wexford county are invited to enter. Poet's Night out is a Northern Michigan juried poetry contest. You can find all the rules at tadl.org/pno. Click on HOW TO SUBMIT for rules as well as individual/classroom forms. Deadline for entering poetry is January 25, 2024. The in person Poet's Night Out event will be during Poetry Month on April 28, 2024 at the City Opera House in Traverse City. Winning poems will be published in the Poets’ Night Out chapbook, and winning poets will be asked to read their poem at this event. ARSL Awards for Libraries and Library Workers<https://www.arsl.org/annual-awards> The ARSL Awards for Libraries and Library Works nominations are now open! The nomination window is from January 2, 2024 - February 6, 2024. Awards will be based on nominees' accomplishments during the preceding year (January-December 2023), with the exception of the Distinguished Service Award that can take into account nominees' career-long community engagement. Nominators will be asked to describe their nominees' commitment to ARSL's Organizational Values<https://www.arsl.org/about>, as well as the strength of their professional practice in the focus area of the award for which they are being nominated. Individuals or organizations can be nominated for multiple awards, but will only be able to win one award per year. Self-nominations and nominations of eligible libraries/library workers by non-library individuals or organizations are acceptable.
