Last call, other requests have fell through. We need this out of our library. It is large and would take a mini-van or truck to haul. If there is no interest, it will be taken to Goodwill or St. Vincents which is an already long drive for us. We have had it in our library for a few years and shared with our branches but we need to make room and would like it to go to a good home. There is some furniture which is included. It does need a table to sit on (current table is also available) and will need a couple of people to lift and carry. Again van or truck would work better. Searching for a Goodnight book - NOT Goodnight Moon

Hello all! We have a reference question here at Romulus Public Library that has stumped me. The patron is looking for a book she read to her now 15 year old daughter when she was little. She remembers it as a book about a little girl saying good night to objects in her room, she specifically remembers her saying good night to socks. It is explicitly NOT Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown, and we have determined it is also not Goodnight, Goodnight, Sleepyhead by Ruth Krause or Bedtime, Nelly by Jan Barger. Once you've made a copy, make whatever changes you like, it will not hurt my feelings at all! By the way, it's super easy to make a copy of a file in Canva, go to *FILE > MAKE A COPY. (If you access the file and it looks like someone customized it, let me know and I'll fix it)* Also, feel free to switch out the highlighted locations if you'd like to. I randomly selected destinations to feature. I also left off our logo, so you do not have to worry about removing that. If you have a copy machine that does tri-folds, this should line up perfectly when you tell it to fold in the finishing area when going to print. The next MCLS Virtual Dialogue is next week and we hope to see you there! Join the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services on Thursday, September 14, from 10:30 a.m. to noon Eastern (9:30-11 a.m. Central) as we continue discussing components of a growth mindset. We will talk about how to determine and frame success, and how to celebrate once we've achieved that success. Whether you've attended multiple Virtual Dialogues or if this would be your first, we invite you to be part of the conversation. MCLS Virtual Dialogues aren't your traditional webinar or online workshop experience. Instead, the MCLS team facilitates an engaging and supportive space where library workers from different experience levels and library types discuss the topic through guided questions. The questions are created to encourage participants to think about how they can build on their strengths and find new ways of thinking about issues. We believe the answers are in the room, and we find that participants walk away feeling connected, inspired, and rejuvenated.
