Book Making Workshop

Friends of the Library Workshop in the UP

Calling all Friends of the Library, Trustees, Directors, staff - We will be holding a Workshop on Thursday, July 7th from 9:30am - 2:30pm to address issues specific to Friends of the Library organizations, at the Mollie R. Kahl Community Library in Rudyard, Michigan. This workshop is open to FOL members, library staff and Trustees who want to know more about all aspects of Friends organizations. Library Law Attorney Anne Seurynck will be sharing legal information; President of the Michigan FOL, Paul Snyder will be talking about resources; and FOL member and author, Fran Vigeant will offer advice as a current member of a vibrant Friends of the Library organization on fundraising for your library. We will also have a volunteer appreciation lunch, and then time for you to network with fellow Friends. Cost of the workshop is free - however I do need a definite RSVP by Friday, July 1st for food, dietary restrictions, and materials. Thank you and we hope to see you at this rare opportunity of a workshop in the Upper Peninsula. I have attached an agenda for the day. The address for the Mollie R. If anyone out there in library land has had their local yearbook collection digitized and hosted to a cloud so it is accessible from the library website can you tell me how you obtained permission and how did you figure out who to obtain permission from. Hi, Does anyone have a template that they use for handouts for parents. I am referring to the handouts you would give to parents after a storytime with the rhymes, books, and songs you used. We are moving back to doing this in the fall and I wanted to get a jump on it. Geared to the college/university level, it is a reliable source for peer-reviewed content from leading journals and reference sources. Is the patron interested in genetic DNA or mitochondrial haplogroups or invertebrate paleontology? Have no fear. Don't overlook the Browse by Disciple feature and Topic Finder tool which can lead to related connections for any search.
