Unfortunately this was not caught before the CD/DVD's were distributed to libraries. Upstart has corrected the problem and the corrections have been uploaded for all of the PDF Forms & Handouts for all 4 programs to the CSLP website. Also several other programming corrections and additions have been loaded to the CSLP website. To find these corrections and additions, please go to the CSLP website at: http://cslpreads.org. Once you log into the site on the toolbar, go to: Membership & Sponsorship --> Member Libraries --> Proprietary Downloads --> 2015 Graphics and Reproducible Files. Each program link directs you to an alphabetical list of all PDF forms from that manual. meeting room policy

HiWe are trying to update our meeting room policy at our library. How does your library handle requests from "for profit" and "not for profit" groups wishing to utilize your meeting rooms. The Paleo Diet for Health and Fitness at the Warren Civic Center on July 23rd

Hello, You may have heard of a way of eating called the Paleo Diet. The goal is to eat the types of foods the Stone Age hunter-gatherers may have eaten. This diet includes real, whole, unprocessed meat, seafood, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds. It does not include grains, sugar, and processed foods. Nate Furlong, clinical exercise physiologist and personal trainer, will be with us on Thursday, July 23 at 6:00 to tell us all about the benefits of this popular way of eating. 2014 Michigan Electrical Code Rules, Part 8 AND 2014 National Electrical Code

All, The 2014 Michigan Electrical Code Rules, Part 8 went effective June 18, 2015 (oops). Here is what the Bureau of Construction Codes, Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, had to say regarding this: "The (Michigan) Bureau of Construction Codes has amended the Construction Code Rules, Part 8. All units of government that administer and enforce the electrical code shall enforce the amended state electrical code effective June 18, 2015." The Michigan Electrical Code Rules, Part 8 are published every three years, to coincide with the publication of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Most municipalities will want to have both publications on hand, or be able to turn to their local library for same. As we do with all of the Michigan specific code books, TLN is offering a bulk purchase opportunity for same to Michigan libraries. Please let us know if you would like to order either, or both: 1. 2014 Michigan Electrical Code Rules, Part 8: Price is $10.00 2. 2014 National Electrical Code: Price is $95.00, although we may get a discount depending upon how many copies we bulk order As the 2014 Part 8 rules have already gone into effect (oops), let's move this along quickly. Michigan Reads tour sites and program resources

The 2015 tour sites have been selected! Twelve libraries and eleven schools are partnering to bring Laurie Keller to children around the state. We are delighted to have the tour stretch from southeast Michigan to the Upper Peninsula. We have also been updating the web site with the programming guide, activity sheets, promotional materials and a handout to show parents how to find Do Unto Otters in MeL.org's BookFlix. The Oscoda County Library is looking for an individual for the position of Programming Clerk. The position requires an associate's degree from an accredited college or 2 years experience commensurate to the position . The successful candidate will be highly motivated, community oriented, computer literate, and familiar with the operations of a library. Also the successful candidate will be available for training and on-going education. Must also be available to work evenings and weekends. The Oscoda County Library is an equal opportunity employer.
