Thank you to everyone who responded. Now that we know that at least some libraries have received forms we are contacting the IRS. If this does not work, we will contact our congressman. I personally ordered forms to be mailed to my home about a month ago. I have not received those either, but did get a form I did not order. This is shaping up to be the worst year yet. Toner cartridge available

I have a new toner cartridge that needs to go to a new home. It is a Xerox cartridge that replaces 98X. It says it is compatible with LaserJet HP Printers 4, 4+, 4M, 4M+, 5, 5M, 5N, Apple Laserwriter Pro 600, 630, Apple 16/600. I pulled out the starting strip and tried it on my HP LaserJet 4+, but it didn't work. Otherwise it is a brand-new cartridge and is free to a good home. I just need your RIDES code to send it to you. Stickering Caldecott and Newbery Honor books

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about stickering Caldecott and Newbery Honor books. 18 libraries responded, with 14 of them responding "yes" to stickering the Honor books and 4 responding "no". In addition, we had three libraries who stickered other youth award winners, the Coretta Scott King award winners (2 libraries) and the Theodore Geisel award. After considering all of this, we have decided to sticker the Caldecott and Newbery Honor books (we already sticker the Grand prize winners) and the Coretta Scott King award winners. Beginning Workshop May 12-14, 2015 - Registration available in March

Registration for the 2015 Beginning Workshop will be open in March. When the online registration is available messages will be posted to Michlib-L and links will be available from the LM website, www.michigan.gov/beginningworkshop<http://www.michigan.gov/beginningworkshop>. The Library of Michigan's Beginning Workshop is a 3-day event geared for library staff members that have not had the opportunity for formal library coursework. Its aim is to introduce library staff to a variety of topics and offer them practical skills that they can use working in a Michigan public library. Anyone new to the profession or just hired at a library, no matter what their academic credentials, is welcome to attend the event. For those seeking an initial Level 3 or Level 4 certificate from the Library of Michigan attendance at the entire Beginning Workshop is obligatory. (Other workshops that may be needed for State Aid disbursements are the New Directors' and the Advanced Directors' workshops scheduled each fall.)
