laminating paperback books?

Many trade paperback books now have a cover that is extremely glossy and the usual laminating film from Brodart, Demco, Gaylord, etc., will not adhere to them. Bubbles and creases will appear before your eyes. Has anyone found something that will adhere to such glossy paper? I want to put something on the new "Discovering Michigan County by County" books, but they have that glossy cover. Thank you in advance. Updates to MeL

Greetings, In our efforts to continually improve your experience of the Michigan eLibrary, we would like to invite you to check out two new features at MeL.org. First, the MeL Minute will now be displayed on the site itself. You can find the link for it on the left side of the homepage. It will be updated by Eunice Borrelli or another MeL Team member each week. It will still go out to the lists so if you're used to catching it here have no fear. Thank you for your continued support of the MeL Minute. We've received extremely positive feedback about it and we're happy to oblige. The second improvement is a Featured Resources carousel on the bottom of the MeL.org homepage. It will change regularly and feature items of current interest. Great News Concerning a MAP Partner Venue: Yankee Air Museum

All, I thought I would share this great news that appeared in an article in yesterday's Detroit Free Press (link to article at bottom) about our MAP partner venue Yankee Air Museum. As a result of a successful fund raising campaign the Yankee Air Museum was able to acquire a portion of the former Willow Run Bomber Plant, made famous by the thousands of "Rosie the Riveters" who worked there to produce the B-24 bomber during WWII. In 2017, to coincide with the move into its new building the Yankee Air Museum will change its name to National Museum of Aviation and Technology at Historic Willow Run. On behalf of the MAP program TLN sent a congratulatory note to YAM, in which we also thanked them on behalf of all Michigan public libraries for their continued participation in the Michigan Activity Pass program.
