Ink/toner Printer Cartridges Recycle?

Hello With a staff changes our recycling of ink/toner printer cartridges information has gotten lost in the shuffle. We have complied quite a few small cartridges from home printers that patrons have dropped off and large ink/toner cartridges from the Library's Kyocera and Ricoh printers. Position: Children's Library Assistant Hours: Part-Time (24 hours/week) Schedule: Nights and weekends may be required About Us: The Lapeer District Library is dedicated to fostering a love of reading and learning within our community. We are committed to providing a welcoming environment where children and families can explore, discover, and grow. We are seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Children's Library Assistant. Position Overview: The Children's Library Assistant will work closely with the Children's Department Head to support and enhance the library's offerings for children and families. This role involves a mix of hands-on assistance with daily tasks and the opportunity to lead and develop programming for young patrons. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about children's literature, enjoys working with children, and is excited to contribute to a dynamic team. Upcoming event in Marquette

Good afternoon, I wanted to alert this list to an upcoming event happening in Marquette this September. Michigan Humanities will be hosting a program featuring Nandi Comer, Michigan’s Poet Laureate, in conversation with Dr. Beverly Matherne, the Upper Peninsula’s Poet Laureate, about how poetry creates understanding and empathy between one another. This conversation will be moderated by Dr. Shawnrece Campbell, the Assistant Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at Northern Michigan University. This event takes place September 12, 2024, at the Northern Center at Northern Michigan University. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., the event begins at 7 p.m., with an afterglow reception and book signing to follow. Books will be sold by Snowbound Books. If you're from a library in the Marquette area, we would appreciate spreading the word if you know of any patrons who might be interested.
