Hi, everyone -- Thanks to all of you who took the U-M survey about learning needs and sentiments regarding AI in libraries. We know some of you were eager to hear what Michiganders had to say about AI! While it will be a few weeks before we can share an in-depth analysis, we will present some of our preliminary findings next Thursday, 4/9, from 3-3:30pm Eastern as part of the free online *Perspectives on AI *conference <https://www.library20.com/miniconferences/perspectives-on-ai>. Recordings will be made available to those who register. Alternatively, the Library of Michigan has an excellent free series on Niche Academy <https://my.nicheacademy.com/staffskills> called the Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Public Libraries Pathway. Its modules explore many of the issues that arose in the survey: ethical and environmental factors, legal/policy questions, privacy concerns, use (or not) of specific tools, tool comparisons, etc. Thanks, everyone!
