Hi, everyone --

Thanks to all of you who took the U-M survey about learning needs and sentiments regarding AI in libraries. We know some of you were eager to hear what Michiganders had to say about AI!

While it will be a few weeks before we can share an in-depth analysis, we will present some of our preliminary findings next Thursday, 4/9, from 3-3:30pm Eastern as part of the free online Perspectives on AI conference. Recordings will be made available to those who register.

Alternatively, the Library of Michigan has an excellent free series on Niche Academy called the Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Public Libraries Pathway. Its modules explore many of the issues that arose in the survey: ethical and environmental factors, legal/policy questions, privacy concerns, use (or not) of specific tools, tool comparisons, etc.

Thanks, everyone!
Kristin & Steve
