Job Description: Be able to troubleshoot basic computer issues. Works the reference desk and multi-tasks between duties Answer reference questions with accuracy Be able to access information effectively. Provide excellent customer service skills. Be able to assist patrons in one-on-one computer lessons. Catalog materials using MARC standards, DDC, LCSH, and RDA. Assist in collection development. This job requires: M.L.S. or M.L.I.S. degree from an A.L.A. accredited institution. Positive, friendly interactions with staff and patrons Flexibility with schedule. Sitting for long periods of time. Pushing book carts and lifting up to 25 lbs. of library materials Retrieving materials from high or low shelves. Sitting at a computer for long periods of time. This job requires some evenings and Saturday shifts.
