Job Description:
- Be able to troubleshoot basic computer issues.
- Works the reference desk and multi-tasks between duties
- Answer reference questions with accuracy
- Be able to access information effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service skills.
- Be able to assist patrons in one-on-one computer lessons.
- Catalog materials using MARC standards, DDC, LCSH, and RDA.
- Assist in collection development.
This job requires:
- M.L.S. or M.L.I.S. degree from an A.L.A. accredited institution.
- Positive, friendly interactions with staff and patrons
- Flexibility with schedule.
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Pushing book carts and lifting up to 25 lbs. of library materials
- Retrieving materials from high or low shelves.
- Sitting at a computer for long periods of time.
- This job requires some evenings and Saturday shifts.
20 hours per week.
$15.96 hourly (with a pay increase at 6 months and 12 months).
