New MCLS Workshop Spotlight - Make Your Own Map: Exploring Geographic Information Science for Librarians - April 23

With the escalation of online GIS mapping applications (demographic and business databases for example), it is becoming increasingly important for librarians to understand and be proficient with these tools; to best serve our patrons and conduct research. Learn several different ways of making maps and utilizing these resources using both free websites and databases. Participants will upload a list of addresses to create a point map and will shade in areas of interest to create a simple reference map. This class is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23 from 9:00 - 11:00 am and will be held online using WebEx.
