The primary responsibility is to provide reference and readers’ advisory services to patrons at the public service desks at the Southfield Public Library. REQUIREMENT: An A.L.A. accredited MLS degree is required. Experience providing readers’ advisory and reference services for both adults and children in a public library setting is preferred. SCHEDULE: Substitute librarians work a varied schedule with an emphasis on weekend hours. The schedule is flexible and posted several months in advance. SALARY: The starting salary is $15.00 per hour with no benefits.
