JOB ANNOUNCEMENT – SUBSTITUTE LIBRARIAN

POSITION:  The Southfield Public Library has substitute librarian positions available.  The primary responsibility is to provide reference and readers’ advisory services to patrons at the public service desks at the Southfield Public Library.

REQUIREMENT:     An A.L.A. accredited MLS degree is required. Experience providing readers’ advisory and reference services for both adults and children in a public library setting is preferred.

SCHEDULE:  Substitute librarians work a varied schedule with an emphasis on weekend hours. The schedule is flexible and posted several months in advance.

SALARY:      The starting salary is $15.00 per hour with no benefits.
