Dorr Township Library is a Class III library in a growing semi-urban community with a population around 7800. The library is located approximately 20 minutes south of Grand Rapids, MI in northern Allegan County and is a member of the Lakeland Library Cooperative. It has an annual budget of approximately $260,000. The Director will report to a 6 member elected board. Requirements - Masters in Library Science or nearly completed and a Level 2 Certification - Grant writing experience - Computer skills - Great communication skills (written and verbal) - Experience creating and maintaining a budget and preparing for and working with auditors - Skilled with: Excel, Word, Publisher, Powerpoint, Social Media, Quickbooks - Basic website maintenance - Attend and represent libraries at cooperative, local county library association meetings and State Library and Friends meetings. Preferred: - 3+ years library experience - Knowledge of millage campaigns (building and/or operating) - Fundraising experience Compensation Salary range of $30,000 to $38,000, working a flexible 32 hours per week, depending on qualifications and experience.
