The Dorr Township Library is seeking a director. Dorr Township Library is a Class III library in a growing semi-urban community with a population around 7800. The library is located approximately 20 minutes south of Grand Rapids, MI in northern Allegan County and is a member of the Lakeland Library Cooperative. It has an annual budget of approximately $260,000.

The Director will report to a 6 member elected board. 

Requirements

• Masters in Library Science or nearly completed and a Level 2 Certification

• Grant writing experience

• Computer skills
• Great communication skills (written and verbal)

• Experience creating and maintaining a budget and preparing for and working with auditors

• Skilled with: Excel, Word, Publisher, Powerpoint, Social Media, Quickbooks

• Basic website maintenance

• Attend and represent libraries at cooperative, local county library association meetings and State Library and Friends meetings.

Preferred:

• 3+ years library experience

• Knowledge of millage campaigns (building and/or operating)

• Fundraising experience

Compensation

Salary range of $30,000 to $38,000, working a flexible 32 hours per week, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include paid time off, health benefits, and paid holidays.
