Hi Everyone, We had Kim Darst from Husky Haven Kennels come to our library last night to give a presentation on her 2009 Iditarod Experience! It was a great turnout, and highly informative. She did two presentations, one for the North Dickinson Elementary (Grades K-5) and one for our Main Branch in Iron Mountain. She brings along her dog Mitch and does a great job of explaining the different sled dog techniques and answering questions. All the proceeds go to her kennel where she has 48 Sled Dogs!
