Hi Everyone,
We had Kim Darst from Husky Haven Kennels come to our library last night to give a presentation on her 2009 Iditarod Experience! It was a great turnout, and highly informative. She did two presentations, one for the North Dickinson Elementary
(Grades K-5) and one for our Main Branch in Iron Mountain. She brings along her dog Mitch and does a great job of explaining the different sled dog techniques and answering questions.
All the proceeds go to her kennel where she has 48 Sled Dogs! She is interested in doing more programs in Michigan and I highly recommend her.
