We worked with Marty Klubeck of Knowledge Builders. http://www.mkkb.info/ He didn't do a full strategic planning with us but got us started with visioning. He can and has done strategic planning with other organizations. He was very helpful and inspiring too. He also happens to be our Board President so he has strong understanding of libraries. Hi Brian, East Lansing Public Library has used Hartzell-Mika and more recently Char Ezell. Marianne, Joe and Char were all very good. Since all of them have backgrounds in libraries they were very good in helping the board, staff and community with the visioning piece. We're nearing the end of the process working with the Facilitation Center at Eastern Kentucky University (http://facilitation.eku.edu/). They are doing an excellent job. They conducted focus groups and executive interviews with the campus community, worked with our staff on a SWOT analysis, and helped us develop mission, vision, values, goals and now strategies and action plans. They aren't library experts, but brought someone in to add library expertise to the consultation. Leslie A.
