Lincoln Township Public Library in Stevensville, MI seeks a full time children's librarian. Duties include but are not limited to: * Provides services to children of Lincoln Township Public Library service area * Provides story times * Plans and implements the Summer Reading Program * Develops and maintains the collection of children's literature to meet the needs of the community * Provides outreach to organizations which serve children * Compiles reading lists on assigned subjects and prepares books displays * Works the Circulation Desk and the Children's reference desk, answers reference questions, and interacts positively with the public in person, on the phone and online * Provides reference and advisory services to customers in the area of children's literature. * Provides assistance in study-oriented activities and in developing children's reading interests * Plans, schedules, conducts and evaluates children's programs MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * A Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited library school is required * Knowledge of children's literature, services and programming is required * Professional experience providing services to, and interacting with, children is a plus * Strong computer skills (software, database, PC's) is a plus * Good people skills and an outgoing personality Starting pay: $30,000 per year; Free Health Insurance included
