Prizes for staff's children

Does your library allow children of staff to claim prizes? -- Kristina Reynolds

At Otsego County Library / Gaylord, we do because the library IS their kids’ library. Staff members usually help make sure their own kids do what they need to do to earn prizes (like a coach would do for their own kids). We try to have other staff members verify reading logs, etc to qualify the kids for prizes. Absolutely, we do. A lot of us have kids that participate in reading initiatives such as the Summer Reading Program. Our children get the same prizes as any other children that have completed the program.
