Hello Michigan Libraries & Library Workers, I am a librarian in Michigan and over the past several years, I collected job postings for fellow job hunters in my MLIS student group, similar to what INALJ or ArchivesGig has. Maintaining a google doc and searching jobs all over the country was cumbersome and time consuming, but I still wanted to help those in the field find jobs. In June, I created a Facebook page called *Michigan Library & Archives Jobs <https://www.facebook.com/mi.lib.arch.jobs>*. On this page, I share varied jobs in public libraries, schools, archives, museums, government agencies, and more that fall into the library/archives/info science field. [image: image.png] Several times a week, I post the newest job listings throughout the state, usually scheduled so a few will post each day. Each post includes the name of the hiring institution (tagged if possible), the job title, whether the position is part time/full time or contract, a link to the posting, and a closing date (when available). If a hiring post is shared on a library's FB, I will share their post. All jobs shared have pay information, with actual numerical pay or pay scale. If you have a job posting you would like shared on the page, you can email *mi.lib.arch.jobs@gmail.com <mi.lib.arch.jobs@gmail.com>*, DM or tag the Facebook page, or submit to the google form linked on the FB page. This FB page is not monetized and I am not asking for any money for posting jobs. *Unfortunately, you do need to be logged into a Facebook account to see the page (though you do not need to follow the page if you are logged into FB). I've investigated other options of sharing, but this works in a way to allow me to post without having to remove old postings and make the project too time consuming to post often. Hello Michigan Libraries & Library Workers, I'm back again a week later with a highly requested update! In addition to the Michigan Library & Archives Jobs Facebook page <https://www.facebook.com/mi.lib.arch.jobs/>, all jobs will also be shared on the Michigan Library & Archives Jobs website, https://milibarchjobs.wordpress.com/. Benefits of the website include no login requirement, better search functions, and the ability to subscribe for posts to be sent to your inbox. It took me a bit of time to set it up in an easy to read & easy to update fashion. All previous postings from the Facebook page, which are still active, have been added to the site already. There are nearly 50 at the moment. [image: image.png] Everything about each job posting is visible right from the main blog page, without having to click into the post, except for tags. Job title & application deadline (when available) are right at the top, as well as PT or FT, the library or hiring organization, and the link to the job posting. Each posting is labeled with 1-2 categories, which are clickable to see other posts in that category. If you subscribe to the email newsletter, you can choose which categories you would like to receive emails about (or all of them). [image: image.png] Once you have subscribed, you can choose if you would like an email for every post immediately, daily, or weekly. I will try to post 2-3 posting per day when there are enough jobs available. [image: image.png] The previous postings have been shared with the no-deadline/until filled jobs posted further back, then jobs that have deadlines in the next few weeks, with the top 3 postings having application deadlines of tomorrow 8/19. Going forward, posts will be shared in the same order & at the same time as the Facebook page, as posting become available. I have 5 scheduled posts for the rest of the week at the moment. If you Subscribe to the page today, you should receive the first email tomorrow morning. Posts will not be deleted after the deadlines pass or the job is no longer available. There is also a Submission page with a Google form to submit job postings to be added to both the Wordpress & the Facebook page.
