Position: IT Assistant Part-time Pay: $15.00 per hour Hours: Up to 20 hours per week Reports to: IT Technician Qualifications: * High school diploma * Vocational or college level training in Computer Science preferred. * At least one year of related information technology experience. * Proficiency utilizingcurrent and emergingtechnology and workplace applications, * Self-motivation and ability to work well as a team player. * Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently. * Ability to maintain effective relationships with staff, and work in a team environment. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Successfully pass a background check & pre-employment screening Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist the IT Technician * Help to oversee library technology including backup system and public computers. * Assist staff and patrons with technology needs. * Investigate and suggest new technologies to help move the library forward. * Other duties as assigned by the IT Technician. Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, bend, and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to reach, and carry books or boxes of books, push book carts, use the telephone, lift, push, pull objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
