Hello, friends! I just purchased Mona's Eyes and it is the Europa version which has a double-sided cover that unfolds to twice it's size. Normally I would just cover it like a normal book but the cover has images of all the paintings that are referenced in the book and I feel it's important to have them included. We talked about reducing and laminating the images to include as inserts but aren't sure how well that will work. Has anyone done anything similar or have another idea? Thanks! After several tries at copying, cutting, pasting, copying and then crying, I copied each row of pictures at 65%, cut the rows to the same size, used a glue stick to hold them back-to-back in numerical order and then laminated them. I tried several ways to hold them together and currently this chain allowed them to lay the flattest in the book. It's not perfect but I needed to get it out on the floor. Had the images not been so integral to the story, I would not have gone to the effort. I'm currently looking for a stick-on slip that I can put on one of the inside flaps to slide them into like a CD. I will update if I am able to improve the system. Thank you for all the suggestions! Hi everyone, happy Tuesday! I hope you all will forgive my resurrection of this email chain, but we dealt with this book ourselves this week and I wanted to share our solution in case it might be of use to anyone else. Our excellent librarian in charge of adult fiction brainstormed this idea and I was able to put it into action with some tinkering! I scanned the inside of the jacket in portions, did some editing, and printed out sets of 3 double-sided pages which I laminated and clipped together with a book ring. These sets are kept near the checkout desk so we don't have to worry about keeping them on the shelf with the books. I then put a digital note on the item record for each book in our ILS which will pop up upon checkout, prompting staff to ask the patron whether they would like the supplemental material for the book. I have included an image of the finished product, along with a PDF of my edited pages so anyone who wants to do the same can easily replicate this! I'm happy to answer any more questions you might have about the process.
