Gender Queer is housed in our YA collection for two reasons: first, because the book primarily covers the narrator/author's childhood and teen years, and also because we don't have an adult graphic novel collection. All Boys Aren't Blue is also in our YA collection, even though more of the book takes place in the author's adulthood, rather than covering primarily, as in Gender Queer, the author's childhood and teen years . Both were ordered by our teen librarian, so that probably played a role, too. We haven't had any complaints.
