Funding Available for Library Staff Professional Development and Continuing Education from Library of Michigan

The Library of Michigan is launching a new program to support libraries' efforts to provide quality services and programming in their communities. A major element of excellent service is empowering library staff to learn and implement new skills and best practices. The new Librarian Continuing Education program helps by providing funding for library staff continuing education. Michigan public, academic and school library staff are eligible to apply for continuing education stipends. You will find program criteria, application questions, timeline and the link to the online application on this page. Staff from eligible libraries may apply at any time and may request from $200 to $1,500. Requests will be reviewed each quarter as listed in the program criteria and timeline. The first review of applications will be the beginning of this October and quarterly thereafter. The application process is open now!
