Dear Library Colleagues, The Pinckney Library (125 Putnam St., Pinckney, MI 48169) invites you, your family and friends to a presentation by Jeremy Dimick of the Detroit Historical Society entitled: *Becoming Hockeytown: The Detroit Red Wings at 100* on *Tuesday, April 14 starting at 6:30pm*. *Becoming Hockeytown, the Detroit Red Wings at 100* *In 1926, the Detroit Cougars played their first game in the National Hockey League.* *In the century since, the Cougars became the Red Wings, the most storied of all American hockey clubs, winning eleven Stanley Cup championships, producing some of the game's all-time greats and creating a distinctly Detroit hockey culture.* *Come explore how in the century since that first season Detroit became Hockeytown.* *Note:* This is a hybrid program--In Person at the Pinckney Library or online via Zoom.
