Attention Libraries in Southeast Michigan: Hello. As you know from our partnership with libraries, my name is Cathleen Simlar and I work for Secretary of State Ruth Johnson. The secretary asked me to request your help in spreading the word about SOSLive, a free family expo she is hosting at Waterford Mott High School on Saturday, October 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This first-of-its-kind event will include dozens of interactive activities, food, live music and traffic safety simulators for the public to experience. We will also have the full-service Secretary of State Mobile Office on site that day. We're hoping you can help us by sharing information about this event with your library patrons. In addition, I am providing an informational sheet on a rare opportunity for high school students to participate as "journalists" at a Student Press Conference during SOSLive where they can personally ask Secretary Johnson questions.
