[Michlib-l] library board / staff gatherings

Good morning! Board members are invited to holiday and retirement gatherings, which seems pretty standard. I'm wondering about what other libraries do with board at staff events--staff meetings, staff training days, etc. Do they want to attend? Are they invited?
