Hello all, Our Safety Committee recently updated our Lost Child Procedure to incorporate aspects of the Code Adam Program, and subsequently we had a circumstance where the procedure was tested. The procedure was effective and the child was found quickly, but it prompted discussion about whether to publicly disclose the child's name during the search. The official Code Adam Program keeps the child's name secret, but that renders the search more difficult. If other larger libraries (we are a 50,000 square foot, Class VI library) are interested in sharing their policies or ideas on the topic, I'd be glad to compile them and report back.
