Hi all, I'm wondering how many of your friends group have a facebook or other social media presence. Our Friends have decided that social media will be the answer to their perceived downturn in bookstore purchasing. I have strong concerns about this including, but not limited to... 1. Lack of public understanding that the 'friends' page is NOT the 'library page.' 2. A 'volunteer' who will be representing the library via social media account that is potentially confused with the library account. 3. An account which encourages donations to be dropped off ALL. THE. TIME. 4. I'm sure there is something else to worry about here... Just looking to see what other library friend groups are doing in this regard.
