Benzonia Public Library is excited to welcome Tim Mulherin as part of the 2026 MI Notable Books Author Tour. Tim will be joining us to talk about his award-winning book, This Magnetic North: Candid Conversations on a Changing Northern Michigan. The book explores a phenomenon around Michigan's Great Lakes and other high-demand scenic locations across the country: natural landscapes are undergoing profound human and climatological change as people pick up their lives and move to bucolic locations. The author talk will take place Thursday, June 25th, 6pm at Benzonia Public Library. The book was selected as a 2026 Michigan Notable Book by the Library of Michigan, which sponsors the statewide Michigan Notable Books Author Tour.
