New guidance recommends masking for: * Ages 2 and up in areas of high transmission * People who are sick or taking care of others who are sick * People with chronic illness and weakened immune systems should consult their healthcare provider on what protective actions, if any, they should take. People should be knowledgeable about the transmission level and infection rate within their community and be prepared to wear masks if the transmission rate increases.
