Debbie Stabenow to Discuss Flint Water Crisis at ELPL 18-126 August 31, 2018 EAST LANSING, Mich. – Community members are invited to a special event at the East Lansing Public Library (ELPL) on Thursday, Sept. 13 featuring Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, author of “What the Eyes Don’t See,” in conversation with United States Sen. Debbie Stabenow. This free event will take place from 6-8 p.m. and it is open to the public. Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha is a pediatrician, professor and public health advocate whose research helped expose the Flint Water Crisis to the world. “What the Eyes Don’t See” is the inspiring true story of how Dr. Hanna-Attisha – accompanied by an idiosyncratic team of researchers, parents, friends and community leaders – proved that children in Flint were being exposed to dangerous levels of lead – a neurotoxin that causes irreversible brain damage. During this special ELPL event, there will be opportunities for community members to ask questions and there will be a book signing at the end. Copies of the book will be for sale at the event, courtesy of Schuler Books & Music. ### _________________________________ East Lansing e-news is just a click away.
