
The Friends of Michigan Libraries (FOML) Board of Directors congratulates the winners of the 2014 Outstanding Friends of the Library Merit Award. For a library serving a population less than 12,000, the FOML Awards Committee has selected: * Friends of New Buffalo Library* For the first time ever, the committee has chosen two winners for a library serving a population greater than 12,000. The FOML Awards Committee has selected: * Friends of Hackley Public Library *and * Friends of the Salem-South Lyon District Library* The committee was impressed with the successful and distinctive activities that these Friends groups carried out in 2014. The winners will be presented with their award and a $400 check at the FOML Spring Workshop and Fred Ruffner Symposium on Thursday, April 23rd, at the Rochester Hills Public Library, where there will be a brief presentation on their 2014 activities.
