The Friends of Michigan Libraries (FOML) Board of Directors congratulates the winners of the 2014 Outstanding Friends of the Library Merit Award.

For a library serving a population less than 12,000, the FOML Awards Committee has selected:

               Friends of New Buffalo Library

For the first time ever, the committee has chosen two winners for a library serving a population greater than 12,000. The FOML Awards Committee has selected:

Friends of Hackley Public Library and

Friends of the Salem-South Lyon District Library

The committee was impressed with the successful and distinctive activities that these Friends groups carried out in 2014.

The winners will be presented with their award and a $400 check at the FOML Spring Workshop and Fred Ruffner Symposium on Thursday, April 23rd, at the Rochester Hills Public Library, where there will be a brief presentation on their 2014 activities.
