As someone who loves dogs and wishes to have them in my office all day, I think about the people who don't love dogs, or are allergic, and in this regard, chose not to pursue something that might keep others out when someone suggested it. We also don't have direct sightlines to our exterior space, which is not the case for all. Even so, I know my dogs well, and they love attention and people - though children who see my fluffy dog are still afraid. I consider these two things as well, 1. At what point do you have to start vetting (no pun intended!) which pets/breeds are allowed and 2. Are you comfortable to put yourself or staff (and patrons) in danger to neutralize a situation I hate having to think in worst possible case scenarios but it does have to be considered.
