The weird emails came through the listserv, so EVERYONE subscribed to michlib got them. Never open attachments that you aren't expecting, especially if they're from someone you don't know personally, and especially if they're weird and scammy sounding like these ones have been. If you opened one of these attachments, talk to your IT person immediately, and probably change your email password ASAP. If these emails originated from your email account (Karen McKinnon, Julianne Kammer), you definitely need to talk to your IT people right away.
