[Michlib-l] Doing Away With Computer Towers?!

We are in the process of revamping and updating our patron computers. One of the options we are looking at is doing away with the towers and going to a " Session Based Remote Desktop Infrastructure". Basically, it's putting all the computers on a remote server and handling everything from there instead of each individual tower. Has anyone done this, or know anyone who has? We are doing a trial with some borrowed equipment, but I would love real-world knowledge.
