Barcodes on Library of Things items

Good morning everyone, I am reaching out to see how other libraries handle labelling odd-shaped Library of Things items. We have just received many ice fishing and regular fishing poles, but are not sure how to label them with the barcode & library information securely. Let me know how you handle these types of items and if there is interest, I can compile responses and share with everyone.
