Deadline approaches! There is a new look for Michigan Center for the Book Grants. This year the organization will award one grant in each section of the state. All applicants must identify from which section they are applying on the application form. There is a map of the sections. A goal of the Center for the Book is to bring literary activities to a broad range of people that might not otherwise have these experiences. One way we do this is to provide small grants for literary events in Michigan. The Michigan Center for the Book is accepting grant applications now through July 21st, 2016 for the year. Please see the link below for an application and report form. The grant program is intended to assist libraries, nonprofits or schools to have free, public events that enhance or complement our mission to promote an awareness of books, reading, literacy, authors and Michigan's rich literary heritage. Grant funds are generously provided by the Center for the Book affiliate members. Grants will be reviewed after July 22nd, 2016.
