At CPL, we are passionate about building the next generation of library professionals, and have developed a robust internship program where students can connect their education to practical experiences with professional mentors. Interns build skills essential to public library service: * Creating enriching and meaningful experiences for library visitors of all ages through programs, events, activities and more. * Curating collections that support the informational, educational and recreational information needs of the community. * Connecting patrons to the information needed to pursue their best life using research expertise and problem-solving skills. Interns must be currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited graduate program. Successful candidates for this position are curious, possess strong critical thinking skills and a passion for public service.
